Smeaton's Pier must have been drawn, painted and sketched by every artist who has visited St Ives since the 1800s!
It is a great subject but I decided it would be good to sit on the pier and look back at the Town.
One of the great things about sketching in St Ives is everybody pops over and has a chat and they are always very complimentary....no matter how rubbish your work maybe! I was actually quite pleased with this half hour sketch.
