Hilbre Prints 2

This is a lino print as opposed to a lino cut. 4 pieces of lino were designed and cut to shape , inked up and then placed in a shape holder to ensure accurate placing. The print was then made. I experimented with different colour ways and this image pleased me most. Initially it was all about the horizon but I realised if I tweaked the horizon line and had the water shape "entering" from the opposite side I could make the image more local relating to Hilbre Island. Hence the subsequent pictures you can see elsewhere in the Gallery.
