Last Sunday The Urban sketchers got together at Woodside Ferry in Birkenhead, and I realised that the venue was the very first for our group over five years ago. Our “official” first meeting was on the 31st July 2016 and 10 people turned up. Because of the weather we had about the same on Sunday! But during the summer we regularly get around 40-50 to our “meets”now and we now have a following of over 500 on our FaceBook page. So I think we can declare it a bit of a success story! Below are two pictures, one from five years ago of the replica submarine that stands outside the terminal building and the other from last Sunday. A quick vista looking across the Mersey. The sketch took about 30mins by which time I was frozen and in need of some warm sustenance. Happy Days!
