Reflections on “The Reflection” My first teaching cruise

Graham Thew November 9, 2015

We have just returned from a cruise with Celebrity on the “Reflection” and it has been a wonderful tour to remember! I was a “Beyond the Podium” tutor and ran watercolour classes for 8 of the sea days during our transatlantic crossing. It was such fun and we were blessed with as interested and enthusiastic crowd of people as you could hope for (and no I am not”just saying that” it’s true!

If you are one of that crowd looking into this website as I gave you a card “thank you!”

We started on day one of the classes with just over 30 people and by the last class we had in excess of 60 coming along to enjoy the company and have an opportunity to splash around with some watercolour. It was great wandering around the ship for the rest of the time with people stopping to have a chat about the classes with lots of promises that they will be following up when they get home by taking painting up as an interest and hobby. the more that do that the more successful I shall feel the classes were. Remember to have a look in the “classes” section where you will find the downloadable information sheets with my compliments….(just leave me a note to say “Hi”)

A last word of thanks go out to Pat for without her help during the classes I really would not have been able to manage! It was very much a team effort.

Thanks again to everyone who attended and below for your interest are some of the sketches I did during our voyage.
